Hello, and thank you for coming. How are you? My birth name is Carl Atteniese Jr. I received this name from my Dear Mother and Father.
My Dharma Name is Mahndo, which means, “Myriad Great Paths of Universal and Continuous Revolving Change.” That is a mouthful, no? I received that name from Dae Heng Kun Sunim, The Venerable Great Chogae nun leading the monks at Hanmaum Zen Center in Anyang, South Korea. This name was given to me when I took The Five Precepts, promising to lead a moral and upright life in the way of One Heart Zen.
